I feel guilty my family spends more on me for Christmas?

A couple of my immediate family each spends about 400-500 on me for Christmas and I feel so guilty that I can only afford to spend 150 on them each every year. I try to express how much I appreciate all of the gifts but I still feel guilty inside. I currently make way less money than they make a year and I’m trying to look for a better paying job.

Gifts are not given to get something of the same monetary value back (then just buy it yourself), it is what someone wants to give you (within their budget).
They know your situation and they want to give you something, knowing you are not in a position of spending that much money. That's what family/friends do, they give because they want, not because they expect something in return.

Don't think of the amount.. that's their own choice.. and whatever u gift them.. they will cherish and could even mean more to them than whatever they spend.

I think it’s pretty clear that these people love and care about you if they’re willing to spend that much. People who love you generally aren’t going to judge or compare price tags. Showing your gratitude is the best you can do. And I’m sure they’re just as grateful that you do your best to also give them thoughtful gifts, even if the price tag isn’t the same. It’s about the gesture, not the cost
