Contractions?

Hi! First time mom here I am 37 weeks and 4 days. I am getting induced on Wednesday but I’m pretty sure I have been having contractions but I’m still so confused on what a contraction actually feels like. I have a some back pain but also feel like I’m having period cramps. Also when do I start timing the contractions?

For me Braxton hicks were uncomfortable but they never made me cry out in pain. When I started to have real contractions they basically started like Braxton hicks but became more and more uncomfortable until I basically had to vocalize through the pain of each contraction, toucan start timing now to see if there’s a pattern, if so could be early labor starting!

Braxton hicks feel like tightening not painful. Contractions from my experience feel like poop pains like you gotta use the washroom but then eventually they ramp up to feeling like strong period cramps

I wish I could remember properly from my last two 😆 only thing I can recall was from my first pregnancy, started out is the weird twinges from my uterus (I’m guessing) then they just started ramping up and getting more painful, I wasn’t induced though so I’m not sure if it would be the same feelings. 🧐

Start timing them now. Braxton hicks do tend to pick up as your pregnancy progresses, so you might still be feeling that. But you might also be going into labor early.
