Confused...

So my partner and I had a pregnancy scare recently. I took an early detection pregnancy test & it came up negative (still not 100% sure since my period hasnt started yet). We are both in our 30s and have 4 kids between the 2 of us from other relationships (ages range from 7-13yrs). We have both said on multiple occasions we didnt want any more kids, but i cant help but feel a little disappointed that the test came back negative...just not sure if i want another baby or if its just baby fever because of the possibility it was gonna happen...any advice would be appreciated.
