First apt 8 weeks?

This is my first time ever being pregnant and I just thought the first ultrasound was supposed to be at 8 weeks so I scheduled mine for 2/13, is that normal? It feels so far away! lol I’m 5 weeks tomorrow

8 weeks is normal. Most first appointments are between 8-12w. Early appointments typically only happen when there is a history or loss/complications.

Dating scan can be done anywhere between 7 and 8 wks. Some people go in as early as 6 wks and due to a missing heartbeat they have to get rescan a week for more later since 6 wks can be too early. You can get your dating scan at around mid 7 wks.

I went in when I was 9 weeks. Baby was measuring ahead and had a HR of 186. My next appointment is at 13 weeks. So far away 😭😭
