IUD moved and now no spotting

I’ve had my hormonal iud for 5 years, I went to have it removed and no strings could be seen so I was referred for a pelvic exam, after the scan I was told it’s moved higher up in my cervix, I haven’t had a period in 5 years but generally would irregularly have 2-3 days of light spotting, however now I’m not having spotting at all. Has anyone else experienced any of this? How did you go about having it removed? And Could the halt of spotting be due to movement?
