Do you think it’s wrong for a girl of a mental age or a teenager to date a normal guy?

If the girl is legally an adult but mentally disabled and they have a mental age of a teenager due to their low iq of borderline functioning of 75? But she is high functioning autistic and mildly intellectually disabled. Or you think they should be treated like anyone else and date who ever they want? What are your thoughts? Should they go for someone the same level as them? The person with the low iq will have a hard time living independently one day due to their below average adaptive behavior and it can take them
a while to live independently. What are your thoughts on guys that are an adults with no disabilities that go for girls like that?

So I’m on the opposing side of this when people are saying no. I’m very similar to the girl in your story where I’ve been diagnosed with high functioning autism and mild intellectual disability. So I can say it can work on intention of good things. 
For instance my fiancé is none of these and he is an equal and treats me as an equal but giving patience when I’m making a decision with him. He does not control what I do he gives guidance. Plus what May help is that I have an in home care provider too. 
Other wise yes sadly some do turn it into a fetish and kink thing. This is sad when people do so. In all I hope he just has good intentions with her.

I think it’s potentially dangerous but extremely circumstantial. There are people out there who fetishized, and take advantage of intellectually disabled and then there are people who have a true connection with the community and I could see where it would lead to a romantic relationship. My son is 8. He has a best friend of 3 years who has Down Syndrome. She likely won’t ever be in a position to live on her own or care for herself as an adult, but because of his relationship with her, he spends a lot of time in the special ed room and has made lot of friends there. Do I think he will have a romantic relationship with his best friend? No. But could I see him meeting someone who is more independent and developing a relationship? Sure. It’s just the community he’s been around for years. I don’t think IQ scores are a deal breaker.

I believe it’s wrong regardless of gender. Unless you met them one way and then due to some type of trauma they became lower functioning. There was a woman who went to prison because of this.
