Student loans taken out

So someone took out student loans in my name years ago and the only reason I found out about it is because I checked my credit score. The loan company and the college they attended are in Minnesota while I’m in Alabama. I’ve contacted the loan company multiple times trying to get them to send me a fraud packet to fill out and so I can file a police report but after 6 months now I still haven’t received anything even after verifying my address. Has anyone ever dealt with Edfinancial or can give me some advice?
