Should I ask for supervised visitation
I really don't want my kids to grow up without a father because I've seen first hand what happens to fatherless children and how they turn out. My ex has abusive tendencies but I never thought he would hurt our boys. They're 15 and 13 and he gets so mad at them for small stuff. CPS got involved because my older son got in trouble at school and my ex had to pick him up. They argued in the car and he gave my 15 year old a black eye. This isn't the first time something like this has happened so I am taking full custody instead of split but I want my boys to have a father so I still want to do supervised visits. They are not wanting to see their dad at all but I don't want them to be fatherless children. I know it isn't good to force them to see their dad. But is it worth it if it keeps them from becoming a statistic?
Edit: I only want visitations supervised. I don't want him alone with our kids because he can't be trusted. If we can have supervised visits in a neutral place I'm comfortable with him being around the kids. Like I said I've personally seen how fatherless children turn out
