Why are men such visual creatures?!

I've asked sooo many male friends, from school, work, friends boyfriends and everything!! Every single man is visual whether they are straight or gay, single, taken or married!! They always have to look at other women/men regardless of having a partner, whether id social media or out in person or whatever the case may be! Why? Why are they always like this? Why do they feel the need to always do this? Its so openly disrespectful to us and is so frustrating and aggravating seeing it in your relationship and seeing it and hearing it in your friends, knowing they're all the same and all you can do is either so the same thing or be confident in yourself and say who cares I'm better ... How do you guys get through this without getting upset? Or without showing it?

Im wondering if youre not communicating your point effectively. I think what youre trying to say is that men tend to actively seek out porn, only fans, raunchy social media, nude photos etc, whereas a women may look at other men naturally during her day-to-day but dont actively seek it out especially if shes in a relationship. Is that what you mean? If so, I agree it's disrespectful. Part of it may be our nature and how we are wired, but part of it is that we are gaslit into a societal double standard. Example if a woman objects to her man going to Hooters, shes controlling. But if there was an equivalent for women eg a restaurant where only well endowed men are servers and serve in a speedo, boyfriends and husbands would absolutely object to us going.

We all are. Looking at other people is completely normal as is finding others attractive. Including while being in a relationship. It’s acting on that that is a different entirely.

Honestly I’m not going to lie the only thing I believe fixed my man’s wandering eye was Jesus, the pastor over and over giving sermons on when you look at another sexually it is just as bad as adultry in a relationship, maybe you should look for a religious man as they tend to have a better moral compass, might align better with what you’re looking for

Honestly my man doesn’t look at other women I have all his passwords his phone, I never see it on his phone or see him do it in person but also he’s antisocial & doesn’t like being around ppl at all 😭 everyone always tells me my man looks uncomfortable around ppl

Not all men are like this. There's a difference between glancing, which we all do, to being a staring creep. I think I'm more visual than my hon. My tiktok is filled with fitness goals I want to reach. If I see a girl with a bomb body (person or social media), I'll be the first to tell my hubby "Oh my God! I want to achieve that look. If your partner is openly disrespecting you, you should not be with that person. If it's pure insecurity, you need to address those issues, otherwise they will consume you.

I look at chicks and point them out to my husband if I see a beautiful woman I won't make a big ol deal out of it I've even went up to a woman and told her me and hubby think  she was beautiful and she said that made her day  men are men and they are going to look. if you get offended by it try looking at it a different way it's 2025.

Its normal to look everybody looks its the way you see someone else if you see a girl or a guy crossing the street are you going to look away??? No you cant because its for safety. Looking at someone doesnt always mean you're checking them out it could also be normally looking at someone. But if you're checking someone else and you can't stop looking at them then thats something different. Already. You can't control what your partner does or do. If he has eyes for you only and hes not cheating theres nothing that you should worry about. If you can't trust your partner you need to fix that. I know that for experience. Jealousy is the worst enemy in a relationship and it could ruin your relationship. Work on your Jealousy issues and don't jealous your partner all the time because that's the only way they can distance themselves or even leave. Stop being jealous and trust him don't lower your self-esteem. Work on your relationship with your man and God and if you put God over everything else God can help you with that. Trust me i know what im telling you.

A therapist would be a great place for you to start. All people are visual. Everyone with functioning eyes uses them to see and interpret data. Including identifying attractive attributes. From other people, to the clothes we wear, to the food we eat. A man seeing an attractive person and clocking that isn’t a problem for most people. If it is for you, I’d work with a therapist and figure out why other people using one of their 5 senses the way it’s intended to be used is for you.
