My birth 💕

I just realized that I posted and commented a bunch throughout my pregnancy, but once baby came I forgot to post. Nothing too eventful, I was lucky to have a pretty smooth delivery. My baby was due December 25th 2024 and came on December 20th. I was induced on the 19th around 2am and was in labor for a total of 27.5hrs. It was about 26hrs of general labor and then 1.5hrs of pushing before baby was in my arms. I’d been stubborn about not getting an epidural for a while because I was afraid of it, but after 16hrs and pure exhaustion I caved. I’d been told they had laughing gas as an option so that’s what I’d planned for, but once I got to the hospital I was told they didn’t have it so it took me a while to adjust. Once I got the epidural it was completely painless and I wished I’d done it sooner. I was so numb that I couldn’t feel anything from the waist down and it was wonderful getting the relief from the contractions. I was finally able to sleep (as much as possible with nurses coming in as often as they do) and then when it was time to push they told me I could press the button as often as it would let me before we started. My legs were so numb that my mom and husband had to help move and hold them, but oh man was it nice not feeling a thing. They told me when to push and I did and before I knew it I had a beautiful baby crying on my chest. She’s now 14 weeks old, I know I’m really late posting about her, and she’s absolutely perfect in every way. We adore her and she’s already grown so much and is so full of personality. Now that she’s here I can’t imagine life without her anymore and I can’t wait to watch her grow! Mamas, once your babies are here don’t take a single second for granted because it goes by so fast you won’t believe it ❤️

My precious little Emilia Marilyn - 7lbs 8oz, 21.5” long, now much bigger 🤣, and amazing in every way!
