Buying things?

So in September of 2024 I had a miscarriage at 7weeks I am now 12 weeks pregnant with my baby girl and it’s so much stuff in my cart but I’m so scared and nervous to buy things because of the miscarriage about when did you guys start buying things when pregnant for your rainbow baby?

My husband and I decided when we first started trying that for each month it didn’t happen, we would go purchase one small item on the day I got my period. It gave us some kind of a positive outcome - even if I wasn’t pregnant. It also, obviously, will be helpful when little baby G is on their way, but more than that it keeps hope alive that one day we will have a sticky little bean that we eventually get to meet on the outside. I would say to trust your gut. If it feels right, buy the thing. If you’re anxious or apprehensive, maybe leave if for a few days/a week and see how you feel then. You will make the right choice for you. 💜

I say do what makes your heart happy I had a miscarriage last year at 19 weeks this time around I am almost 12 weeks we know the gender and have bought baby girl something’s … because honestly I’m not living in fear … but I think what ever makes you feel comfortable and happy

After 12 weeks but I wasn’t really convinced I was out of the dangerzone until the 20 week scan tbh. Second trimester is good for buying buying/organising things because you have the energy. If you see any big ticket items on sale totally jump on it asap though!

I’ve had three miscarriages since sept 2023, 1st at 9weeks, 2nd was early at 5 weeks, 3rd at 9weeks again, my last MC was early Nov 2024, I got pregnant immediately on my Dec period. We’ve purchased One item I am currently 16w6d. I’m holding back on purchasing a bunch of stuff until after our Baby shower. Which we’ll probably have around 30-34weeks gestation. I’d buy things here and there if you’re doing a baby shower, if not just purchased as you get towards the end of your 2nd trimester!

Buy a couple little things here and there if you want. Personally I waited until my anatomy scan to buy mostly clothes the min I got home I went online and purchased as much as I liked. Furniture and bigger things I bought closer to 30-32 weeks and by 37 weeks everything was set. Congrats on your baby!

I would buy as soon as 4 months because babies come early as 6 months. Especially, twins! Plus , it’s better to have everything  ready. I would start with buying diapers in bulk. By the time the babies come home, you have plenty.

I also had a miscarriage back in July of this year, currently pregnant again & I’m 23 weeks tomorrow. I haven’t bought anything yet, but others have gotten me things ☺️

Thing I want to mention is that not. Everybody has the means to purchase things all at once. So if you want to start purchasing small things. I think it’s just a fight. And if you wanna wait till you’re a little more far along to purchase bigger ticket items that’s fine. I just feel like do what your heart tells you like. I told you in the post before and don’t live off of fear.
