TTC for 2.5 years

Please no judgement

Located in SYDNEY NSW, AUSTRALIA.

I am 26 years old, my husband is 30 years old.

My husband and I have been together for 11 years, married for 2.5 years and have been trying to conceive since the month after our wedding, I was on the pill for our entire relationship before we got married. We understood it wouldn’t happen right away due to my hormones coming back to normal after being on the pill for so long.

With no success, we consulted with a doctor. I had a full blood test including AMH. Everything came back average with no concern other than vitamin D and iron levels being low which immediately I have managed by taking supplements and change in diet.

My husband had a full blood test and sperm count checked. Unfortunately his sperm count came back ZERO diagnosing him with “Azoospermia”.

We are absolutely heartbroken and don’t know what to do. We understand we will need IVF to have a baby but we are both so overwhelmed and my husband feels so awful and is taking all the blame which crushes me. Our families don’t know, our friends don’t know it’s all very fresh and just not the outcome we were expecting at all.

There is no shame at all in us that we will need to go down the IVF route. We are grateful for that. But I am wanting to know success stories if you have any. Have there been any men out there who have successfully conceived when they thought they couldn’t naturally?

Thank you in advance, sending all my love to everyone TTC.
