If someone buys something off of Marketplace from you and it gets recalled more than 6 months later, are you responsible?

So I sold a Bugaboo Giraffe highchair on Marketplace in September 2024. It's now June 2025 (9 months later). The other day the buyer contacted me saying she loved the high chair and it's worked so well for her family. I thought it was weird but sweet, so I said that's great! Just being nice, right? WRONG! Then she said "wanted to let you know it was recalled this week. You can etrans me the refund or we can meet up if you have cash. We had to throw out the Giraffe and buy something else."

I thought that's a little weird demanding (not even requesting) a refund because the high chair she got second hand from me 9 MONTHS AGO was recalled this week. And also... You already got rid of it so like... You want a refund but the product is clearly not returning to me? And you used it for 9 MONTHS?

I left her on read and then eventually blocked her because she said she's going to sue me unless I give her money back ($100) but can she even do that? When I sold the high chair, it was perfectly fine and didn't have any issues. I always figure buyer beware with Marketplace but also no returns.

ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED ❤️❤️❤️
