So my birthday is the 16th my due date is the 20th and I hit 39 weeks on the 13th. I’m going to have a scheduled C-section. When would you do it? I kinda want it as far from my birthday as I can. But I worry about trying to push to my due date and my partner possibly missing the birth because we couldn’t find childcare vs just doing it closer to 39 weeks.

Why do you want it far from your birthday? That comes off kinda selfish tbh. But with my scheduled c section they had me plan it for a week before my due date. So in your case that would be 13th.

From my experience my doctors said I have to go before my due date and they mean the week before not a day or two before. With your 39 weeks being on a Thursday it’s alittle trickier but I bet they’ll make you go 13-16. My daughters birthday is 2 days after mine it’s not bad at all.

Personally I would love to share my birthday with my child but that's just me. My nephew was born the day before emy birthday and I told my sister even to hold him in so we could share it! I would definitely be doing it when you have childcare so you don't have to be alone.

I'd wait until baby was fully cooked or go with the date the doctor suggests.

Is there a reason you're having a c-section? Is it for a medical reason or just because? Do you want to go to 40 weeks? Are you able to go to 40 weeks? If you wait until 40 weeks on the 20th you'll still get to celebrate your birthday.
With my son we were going to induce at 39+1 because my baby was measuring pretty big and i didn't want to suffer more nerve damage than what I already had from birthing my daughter. However, the birth ended up being a last minute scheduled c-section due to him measuring in the 99th percentile and risk of him getting stuck. It ended up being the right choice and he was born on his dad's birthday.
