Maternity shoot?

What month are maternity shoots usually done? I’m 4mths pregnant with twins. Honestly I only want to do the shoot because these are the first twins in my family. I plan to have my 10yr old also in the pics and my bf as well. Do you just hire a regular photographer or is there like a place to go

I’m doing some modelling for a photographer who specialises in maternity/baby shoots and she recommends having around the 28-32 week mark, so your bump is nice and big but not so big you don’t struggle posing and feel too heavy and tired! I imagine with twins you may find a bit earlier might be better as you’ll get bigger quicker. It totally depends on your personal preference 🙂
There are a lot of photographers out there who specialise or have particular experience doing maternity shoots, if you can find one I’d definitely recommend it. They’ll be familiar with what poses etc work the best, so they will be able to guide you better if you’re not too confident in front of the camera
