39+2 sweep

*this app is kind of like a pregnancy diary to me so this is just what’s going on today*

I had my second membrane sweep today and I’m so proud that I was able to complete it this time! I had my first one done at 38 weeks but turns out my doctor told me that last time my cervix wasn’t ready however this time it was.. not sure why she tried to perform a sweep last week when I wasn’t ready because it did essentially nothing and it was very painful. Anyway, I’m so glad I was able to complete the sweep this time, she said my cervix is so ready now and I’m dilated to about a 4! I’ve been cramping, slightly bleeding (which is normal), and having heavier discharge; all of which she said are good signs. I’ve been trying to stay busy, cleaning my house, getting the final things in our hospital bags, bouncing on my ball, & diffusing oils. Tonight I’ll take a bath & rest my body because mama needs it!

Its so fun seeing all of the March mamas have their babies; I hope to meet my baby girl soon and share my experience!
