Genital herpes from oral sex?

I hate that I have to live with this diagnosis. I have hsv 1 genital herpes from oral sex that my boyfriend gave me. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Yup I’ve had it for over a year now. It’s not the end of the world. The stigma we get from others doesn’t need to be there. 90% of the worlds population has it in one form or another. A lot of the people go undiagnosed because it’s laying dormant in your system.

S is totally right. There is a stigma but yet so many people have it. My cousin has been with his wife for nearly over 15 years. His wife has had it and my cousin still does not. She gave a perfectly safe vaginal birth as well and their child was not affected. The most important thing is education and research! I’m sorry you’re going through this
