Really sore breast?

Hey ladies, quick question. I'm also near that time of the month and usually when I am I just get the sore nipples and cramps here and there. It's been a while since I let my boyfriend fondle them and even when he does, the isn't rough. I don't sleep on my stomach too much when my period is about to come on because it's uncomfortable. Could someone tell me why all of a sudden I wake up this morning with really just one of my breast hurting on the side of my armpit. It's really painful and feels like it's kinda sharp. Is this normal? Could my body be experiencing one sided breast pain due to that time of the month? My armpit kinda hurts as well so I'm unsure.
