How to use Marta??

I know this sounds silly, but I never rode a Marta bus. I have always taken Lyfts and Ubers, but I moved to Atlanta and the rides are ridiculously high. I know it has to do with Atlanta being bigger, more traffic, and etc. But the cost is too much. I noticed Marta was on Uber so I want to know has anyone EVER USED MARTA ON UBER??? When I pay for the Marta on the Uber app would I have to give the bus driver any more money??? Or because I paid on Uber that’s it?? The only cons to riding Public transportation is it’s much longer getting to your destination could be about 1-2 hours or more. On top of that you may have about 3-4 transfers to make. Who wants to make that many transfers trying to go home from work? Anywho someone please comment if you used public transportation, how it works, and tips.
