3 Hour Glucose Test Questions

I took the 1 hour glucose test and my result came back at 148 and my ob office cut off value is 139…so, I failed and they told me I have to do the 3 hour glucose test soon.

My question is…how does the 3 hour test differ than the 1 hour test? Do they get a baseline fasting blood glucose result first and then have you drink the glucose drink? How many more times will they draw blood after I drink the glucose drink? And, do any of you know what the standard value ranges they want at each blood draw? Thanks in advance!
