Tongue tie?

I will talk to his dr at his 4 month appt but that isn’t for another month.  He feeds fine (bottle fed) but sense the day he was born always fidgets with the nipple before latching.  I brushed it off but after taking a few photos I noticed his tongue has a little notch or heart shape to the tongue.  I am just curious if it be a possible tongue tie

I can already tell it’s a serious tongue tie with the tip of the tongue “heart” shaped. This needs to be dealt with by a properly trained professional for oral ties. Pediatricians aren’t trained. Pediatric dentist or ent is where you need to go.

It could be. Do you have pictures? My son just had his lip and tongue released Monday. Does he have another symptoms besides that? Do you have any symptoms? 
Pediatricians are not well versered in ties at all. Babe nay have a tie and they will say he's fine or it's not a big deal when it very well could be. You're best bet would be to see an IBCLC who can tell you if you have ties and then refer to a specialist. You'll want to see an pediatric dentist specializes in oral ties. ENTs are not properly trained either. Laser is better than clipping with scissors.
