What do you think about this?
So my SO and I have had joint accounts since 3 months into our relationship - which he had talked me into and was super toxic - we're 9 years ahead and I've been stressing over money for.. well 9 years.
I have been begging to change things for at least 8 years.. in which he gambled away my savings at one point.
So I decided to open my own account and have work deposit my paycheck there.
I am still contributing to the joint account but "my share" (I actually deposit double from what "my share" should be because I want to keep the peace) because we obviously have very different financial goals.
Now he's trying to bully me into putting my paycheck back into the joint account because he needs a visual and free access to all my finances.
Regardless of what your idea of good finances is in a relationship (joint, seperated or joint and seperated) I think I am not wrong to feel like it's wrong to be bullied into making certain decisions I absolutely do not agree with with my earnings?
