Ivf no 5 … forgot taking birth control one night

I am planning to go for another round of ivf. In preparation for that, my doctor had started me on birth control and estradiol. However this Monday, I completely forgot to take the medicine. By the time I realized, it was Tuesday evening. I continued as normal on tue and wed evening. But on Wednesday evening I started spotting.

I told my doctor and they have doubled my dose of birth control starting today (Thursday).

I’m not sure whether I should really go for this cycle or just wait for my actual periods and start over.

Anyone has any idea what to do when you miss taking a birth control in prep for IVF?
