Walking pneumonia
Does this look like the face of a sick baby? No.
These pictures were all taken during the time frame of my sweet baby, Zay, having a fever for 23 days (that I’m aware of). 4/11/23, we finally got a diagnoses. WALKING PNEUMONIA. This was our 3rd visit to the pediatrician in about a 3 week period. They finally did a chest X-RAY and there it was. He had no other symptoms other than a fever… oxygen levels always looked good, temporal temperature was never a fever at the clinic (only the rectals I was doing at home showed a fever), they listened to his lungs (multiple people, on multiple occasions). Even his pediatrician is shocked by these chest X-ray results.
I heard it all. Maybe his temp runs high, maybe your thermometer is wrong, maybe it’s multiple viral illnesses back to back, maybe it’s teething, maybe you’re over reacting?
My mommy intuition was right. I kept telling everyone I know my baby and something is off with him.
I WAS RIGHT!!! And I need to scream it to the universe because the last few weeks have been so hellish on me and my mental health. The worry I have had for my son has been sickening.
Always advocate for your babies because you are the best thing they’ve got! ❤️❤️❤️
Zay has been started on antibiotics. He still has a fever but hopefully the antibiotics start doing their job. I have a good feeling we are going to kick pneumonia’s butt ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
