I am thinking of making a career change to paralegal. I have some questions for those of you already in the field.

1. Do any of you have the opportunity to work from home? If yes, how many days per week?

2. What is your salary/wage and how many years have you been in the field? Also are you in a high COL area?

3. Would you say this is a good job for an introverted person? I am very introverted and my current role has me leading meetings with families several times per week. It makes me feel so anxious; I would prefer a more “behind the scenes” job.

4. Can you see the future of this job being in jeopardy due to automation of tasks with Artificial Intelligence?

5. How often do you get to research and investigate cases? What does a typical day in the life look for you?

6. Do you like your job?

7. Do you have to case note and meet certain productivity standards?

8. Does anyone work 4 day workweek, flexible hours, or get off early on Fridays?
