Depo Provera - Irregular Bleeding

Hey ladies, I got my first depo shot on March 8th! I got it because I have excruciating periods and do not psychologically do well with it, so I wanted to get rid of my period altogether. I understand there is an adjustment phase of depo, but those of you who have had positive experiences, is my progression normal or should I consider something else?

- first few weeks no side effects

- “predicted week of period” comes around and I spot for about four/five days, and then I start actually bleeding for a little over a week. During this time I had cramps just I would usually. Then I spot heavily, and now I’m still spotting lightly. My next “expected period” was supposed to start today, so in total, I’ve been having something expel from my vagina that involves blood for about a month. During this week, I have experienced cramping and extreme extreme fatigue.

- experienced one week of massive headaches

- once the headaches went away after the week, I started experiencing (still am) mood swings.

- because I’m always wearing a pad, I have come down with a yeast infection and odor.

Those of you with similar experiences, did your spotting stop? Or should I switch to the Slynd pill or Mirena IUD (CANT take estrogen because of migraines with aura)
