My health visitor today came round for our monthly checkup on our 10 week old, while weighing my daughter she asked me how my eating was, I thought it was pretty random as it’s never been brought up before? I mentioned I’m eating well here and there, she gave me a look up and down an asked do I eat plenty fruit, I say whenever I can I do. My partner could see me getting uncomfortable as I’ve not been asked these questions before as this is my second baby.

She then went on to small conversation about dress sizes etc, I basically lied an said “oh I’m 18/20” even tho I’m 22 atm as I’ve just had the baby exercise isn’t the top of my list lol especially after a section! She then let a laugh out and was sarcastically said “are you sure? I thought you’d be bigger” even the student HV was looking uncomfortable. Soon as she left I broke down crying, think it might’ve been also due to me being on my period but do I ask for a different HV?
