Other preemie moms?

Question

I just joined the March group after being in the May due date club. My son was born 3/24 at 34 weeks due to preeclampsia. He spent 3 weeks in the NICU, healthy but needing feeding and breathing support. He’s only been home less than 2 weeks and I have a hard time understanding what best to do for him or what to expect given that he’s still technically less than 40 weeks. Preemie babies are soooo varied and the NICU providers and are pediatrician have different perspectives. Wondering if any other moms here are in the same position and have any advice. This is my second child so naturally I’m just treating him as a typical baby but I don’t know if I should have different expectations.

I had my daughter March 1, but was due April 14th! We were in the NICU for 25 days. She’s now 8 weeks & I still sometimes feel how you’re feeling! I asked the dr if I should be treating her as her adjusted age, or her actual she & they said adjusted age. And when her adjusted age was still before 40 weeks, we just kept the NICU schedule as they did. Fed & changed every 3 hours around the clock. Waking her every 3 hours if she didn’t wake up on her own as well. I would still check her temperature a few times a day bc I got used to checking it and wanted to make sure she was keeping a good temp. 
As of now, at 8 weeks we’re treating her as 10 days old.
