Possible miscarriage - solid clot

Hi, 6 weeks pregnant- for the past few days I’ve had extreme cramping and some bleeding. I’ve never passed big clots but just a few minutes ago I passed a hard/solid golf ball size clot. TMI but it was almost stringy when I pulled it apart. Has anyone ever had this?? My bleeding and cramps have let up since yesterday but just passed the clot. Dr appt is in two more days. Are clots supposed to be hard?
