Moms who have had natural and medicated (epidural) births, which do you prefer?

No I do not consider an epidural natural birth (sorry if that offends you), but am considering getting one because my natural birth was absolutely excruciating with my first baby.

My first I had the epidural, I went to the hospital at 2:30am got the epidural at 10am and didn’t have her until 6:30pm. Which meant I wasn’t able to get out of the bed because I was numb. My second came way too fast. At 36 weeks I was in denial and waited too long. Made it to the hospital at 5:40am and had him at 6:05am so didn’t have time for the epidural. I regret that, I wish I would have gotten the epidural not only because of pain but I felt like I was robbed of the relaxation and getting ready. Either way I’d rather have the epidural.

My one and only I went natural water birth at a birthing center and it was SO peaceful; there was pain of course but I had a full out of body experience and was asleep 90% of the birth. My labor was 5 hours & 41 minutes total. No regrets and will definitely choose to go natural again next time!
Having the proper tools and people I think is a HUGE factor. Natural in the hospital probably wouldn’t be ideal IMO— but the birthing center I was walking around, laying down, eating & drinking, in & out of the water as I pleased. The midwife (who never even had a child at the time) was able to step by step tell me what I would be feeling and in what time frame based off of what I was telling her I was feeling in the moment. It was BEAUTIFUL 😻 
I also went home 3 hours after giving birth, so that was another plus side to the natural route.

I didn’t have fully natural I had gas and air with both my previous pregnancies I laboured as long as I could at home. My 1st I went into hospital when my waters broke and they sent me home without examining me and said just take some painkillers so I did then I went back 2 hours later and they didn’t check me but I wanted a epidural and they took my bloods due to HBP and I had to buzz cause I wanted to push so they checked I was 10cm so no time for one. 
My 2nd I went in my waters never broke with her she was born in them so they didn’t examine me and was saying I was in slow labour as I wasn’t shouting or anything I had a back to back labour with her too then I demanded they examined me and I wanted a epidural so she examined me and said she could break my waters or I could start pushing i again had no time for one. 
This time I’m open to one again but what happens will happen if you need one take one just make sure you have time to get one.

my first two were unmedicated, and I chose to have an epidural with my third, which came with the risks as I have a brain malformation, and after having it, I did require to Emergency neurosurgery, which is fine because I was expecting that. However, we are having one more baby, and I will definitely be having an epidural again ￼(if they’ll allow me considering what happened last time the only reason they finally approved me to have an epidural with my third was because my husband is a anaesthetist or anaesthesiologist, depending on which country you’re in, and he said it was fine, and they said it was okay to give it a go￼) 
I personally feel a lot more relaxed and feel like I got to enjoy the moment more with my third Baby, then I did with the other two because you’re already so calm and there’s no pain so you’re very and I feel like you’re more present in that beautiful first few moments
