Hcg level is 9

I went to the er on the 29th (today) to take a blood test and they said my hcg level was 9. He said it’s a possibility I could be early but it’s unlikely. My period was supposed to come on the 25th & didn’t I took a test on the 27th and it was a faint line I took another on the 28th it was a faint line then I took another later that day it was a faint line. I started bleeding the 28th but nothing like my period & today it seems to be going off Is there anyway my hcg could go up or is it a chemical pregnancy.
