Ultrasound required after a miscarriage?

Did you have an ultrasound after your miscarriage? I had a blood work done and my BetaHCG is less than 1 so I am not pregnant anymore. I miscarried almost 3 weeks ago, no more bleeding. I do think I ovulated right after my bleeding stopped. Do I still need to get an ultrasound done to make sure everything is gone? Thanks

Yes. I found out i was pregnant with my second child on june 1st but on june 8th i had a miscarriage.  I went to the Er and they did blood work and 2 types of ultrasounds. The wand which goes inside yu and then the one on the stomach.

I really think it depends on the doctor. I had one as it started and one after it happened to make sure there wouldn’t need anything else to be done.

I did have an ultrasound three weeks after. I don’t know that it’s required but they do it to make sure you’ve passed the fetus or ovum. If you’re hormone levels are low, you most likely are fine though.

With my early miscarriage, I didn't. With my missed miscarriage I did. Probably because my body realized right away with my first one, but with my second one it took 3 weeks from baby passing to my body recognizing what happened. So because it held on for weeks not knowing, we did an ultrasound to be sure nothing was retained in the process.

I only did 1 time out of 3. It was my first mc. The other times I just was told to take pregnancy tests at home til they were negative.
