What would you do?

How would u react if your husband didn't think before he spoke? My husband was angry and said "I have to admit I love you..but not like I used too." He immediately felt bad and apologized and said that's not what he meant and felt horrible. Trying to apologize all day today. I have yet to speak with him all day he's blown me up all day on my phone apologizing and now saying he made us reservations for dinner at 5:30. He's never ever been rude or said anything mean like this so it really hurt me. I refuse to speak to him because I want him to know the severity of the situation and  what he said was very inappropriate and I want him to know he can never do this again! What would you do? All advice would be appreciated!

If you react in your marriage by refusing to speak to your husband to "punish" him you will be in for some very miserable times. Yes, what he said was painful but you say he has never been rude to you and he seems apologetic. Instead of ignoring him, tell him exactly how he made you feel.

Things change and people say things without thinking or meaning them the way you interpret them. I bet if you stay married for a long time you will, at some point say something you wish you could take back.

Damn :( I would be certain upset too.  But clearly he feels bad and wants to make it up.  The more you push him away . The more both of you will know what to say . Just don't get mad about what he said . We r just humans . No one is perfect.  Everyday we r learning. Just talk to him

Love ebbs and flows in a relationship. He may honestly feel as if he doesn't love you the same way that he used to, but that doesn't mean there won't be a time in the future where he loves you more than ever. Hubs and I had a really rough time a couple months before our wedding, he said he loved me but didn't feel head over heels madly in love like he thought he should. It took some time and a good wake up call of almost losing me for him to realize he was being stupid. If I were you I would let him know that it really hurt your feelings, but maybe also let him know that feelings come and go but true love is the commitment to be loving to your spouse each day. It's been 2.5yrs since hubs and I went through our rough patch, and he's now more head over heels than he's ever been before.

I lost the man of my dreams because he spoke out his ass but I wouldn't accept an apology. Just remember that. He said some nasty things but now I think about it, it could have been worse.

Might have meant that he loves you differently now than he used to, not a bad thing. I love my husband more now than when we first got together and it's a  different kind of love,  doesn't mean it's less. 
Sometimes people miss speak... when my husband told me he loved me for the first time I said "that's creepy" not what I meant at all lol. I kinda panicked and instead of saying I love you too I messed up. Meant to say something like  wow that's fast and weird but I love you too... He still doesn't let me live it down 😶

I know this isn't going to go over very well and I'm not trying to blame you but you said he apologized and that he's tried making it up to you all day. He's no longer the person in the wrong. You're using passive aggressiveness and the silent treatment to PUNISH him and that's flat out wrong. You may be hurt and/or upset over what he said but you're not allowing any room for a person to be human, make a mistake, and move on from it. It's almost as if you WANT to continue to be mad at him. You two could've talked about this and moved on from it and not have it affect the rest of your day. Stop trying to be hard and talk to your man....IF you love him.
