When to visit the OBGYN

4 weeks pregnant and my OBGYN appointment isn't until January 14th is that ok/normal? I didn't know if that was too long to wait

Hey ladies! Just found out we are expecting a few days ago! Can't believe it still...keep thinking AF will show any minute and this will have been a dream. Fingers crossed its a sticky one and we all have a happy and healthy 9 months!!

I see so many with doctor appointments set. I figured due to the holiday I won't call until Monday. I will try tomorrow to see if offices are open, but I doubt it.

I'm also 4 wks pregnant and My ob counseling is the 14th but first ultrasound/ dr visit is the 28th.  I was concerned as well since this is my first baby but all my friend's subsided my feelings and thoughts regarding this.  It is completely normal. Best of luck in your pregnancy!!!

My appt isn't till the 20th I was worried to but told they dnt see u till about 7weeks bcas they can't see anything until than

Mine isn't until the 8th. Most don't see ppl until 6 weeks

The ones that go early are ones that were on medicine to get pregnant n want to make sure it's viable, or have miscarried

Just got my appointments set, and I'm really quite disappointed. My first appointment isn't until Feb 5. I'll be exactly 9 weeks that day. What's worse is I found out they won't be listening for a heartbeat that day, they will listen for that 2 weeks later at my first appointment with the actual OB/midwife. Seriously?? No HB until 11weeks?? I'll go nuts! I am wondering if the scheduler was confused today and thought the first appointment needed to be at least 8 weeks into the pregnancy, when in reality it is the second appointment in this case, the one where they listen for the heartbeat. I am going to ask a thousand questions via the online office portal once it gets set up, because I don't want to wait until I'm nearly in my second trimester to hear my baby (and know how many are in there, for goodness sake!)

I'm 4w5d and my appt is on the 14th as well. I'll be 6-7 weeks by then. So it sounds correct.

Yes normal. There's nothing to see until at least 7-8 weeks.
