“ I love you” nerves

Me and my bf have been dating for a little over 3 months now. Neither of us have said I love you yet. I really want to and almost had to catch myself saying it a few times. I’m so nervous that if I say it and he doesn’t say it back.. what would you do?

My last relationship the guy said it first within a month of us dating.
