Bloody show ?

Ooook ! Now I'm really confused.  I had another exam today (38+2) & I'm 2cm dilated. Automatically I started spotting red, which is obviously normal, & (last exam I spotted 4 days); but I just used the bathroom and a (sorry, tmi) long Brown stretchy glob of mucous came out. Is this my bloody show?  I'm confused because I had an exam,  so idk 😯 ... anyone else ever experience this? Tia !

I had the same question, I'll be 40 weeks Saturday and my due date as well, had my cervix checked today and was 2cm and she could feel his head. I had redish spotting at first then turned brown but hasn't been much. But just went pee and sorry tmi but a goober like wad was on my toilet paper it was brown as well im it wasn't much but looked like the beginning of my plug. No contractions just a little crampy hopefully it means labor soon, I wanna meet my baby boy.

Mucous plug is like a brown/ green nasty looking discharge clot pretty much.

Mucus plugs are the nastiest thing, but it looks like a giant loogie or something resembling that. It's brown in color but it's thick in density. Pretty much disgusting but once that's out, it'll be go time from there.

It scared me too, It didn't look pleasant. lol but soon after, I had my first contraction. Just keep a watch nearby and a paper to chart them. It'll help you, also don't panic just breathe!! (:
