Pregnant while on BC pill

I obviously know it's possible but just wanting to hear everyone's feedback. If you got pregnant on the pill did you still have a period while still taking the pill? If you didn't know you were pregnant of course so you are still taking the pill, did you still have a period? My coworker said she still had a period. I've had some pregnancy symptoms but I wanted to wait to see if my period came. I did get my period but it was old blood and lasted for maybe a day. That's not normal for me. I'm of course going to take a test within the next couple days but I just want to see if I'll bleed anymore. Just curious what you guys have to say.
