Strong pulse is baby's heartbeat?

For the past 2 days I've felt a slight pulsating sensation around the area where my femoral artery is on my right side. It's intermittent, and I felt like maybe I'm doing something that restricts blood flow and that's what I'm feeling. I just asked my mom (who is an RN of 15 years- with her PhD) and she said that I was feeling the baby's heartbeat 😧. I'm 15wk2. Have any of you ladies experienced this feeling yet? It's kinda freaky but exciting at the same time.
