Is the belly button supposed to look like this?? He’s five days and the umbilical cord just fell off

They all look weird at first, the important things are, no pain for baby, no redness (infection) around the area, no oozing, no weird smells, a few drops of blood after it falls off is normal but it should not continue to drip blood. Just keep an eye for a few more days and if it’s concerning to you (even today) make an appointment with your doc for a double check :)

Yes. That part should also fall out. Just keep it dry because its not fully off, thats a piece of the stump stuck on.

Okay so it might be an umbilical granuloma my first daughter and my fourth daughter had one… it didn’t look exactly like this but all I did was put salt on it to dry up the blood vessels inside and it disappeared. It caused no pain at all putting salt there.

Is this normal??
