Hypocritical to Have Sex Before Marriage?

My New Years resolution is to improve my relationship with God. I grew up as a Christian and distanced myself in 2008, when I had an abortion. I want to go back to God. I need Him. I'm still together with my bf who got me pregnant back in 2008. We've been together for 10 years and are not married, and we've only been together sexually with each other. Is it hypocritical or wrong of me to seek a relationship with God  And still continue having sex before marriage?

Trying to make your life perfect just so you can go back to God is like getting really in shape so you can start going to the gym. The improvements are meant to be made with his help, not before it. Come to him with an open heart now, and as you get closer to him, he will reveal the areas of your life that need to change. You just have to be willing to listen. When you think about it, your union with your boyfriend is a marriage in a way. You have only ever been with each other. I believe regardless of your sexual activity, God will honor your genuine attempt to become a better Christian. Nobody is perfect, that's why we need God in the first place. God bless and good luck.

If celebacy is what God lays on your heart, then yes. :) You should go for it. And if not, then that's okay to. Either way it's something you should discuss with your SO. Just remember that any decision is first and foremost for YOU. So don't let pressure or dissapointment on his side sway your decision. Your body, your faith, your belief.

I don't think so. Everyone has their own relationship with God. Some religions just have different guidelines. Some people don't follow a specific religion but still have their own idea and relationship with God. Do what you believe is right.

I go to church every Sunday and have been living with my fiancé for over a year n we r currently 11 wks pg but we plan on getting married before the baby's born but things have kept us from getting to that point money for one but I still have God in my life n still have a great relationship with him I believe that as long as u make the sin right in the end God forgives because thats the God he is. Me personally you can't close that door once it's been opened.  I've read a few different post on her about women in a relationship suddenly wanting to find His again and turning to celibacy. I mean how is that fair? But to each their own. If it's what you feel you need to do go for it.

That is between you and him....yes it says in the bible not to have sex before marriage but remember no one is living your life! If u want to get closer to god then you do that but just know that god made us to be imperfect and he knows we will sin but he wants us to ask for forgiveness! I say go for it and get closer to god!

If your religion does not allow for sex before marriage and you want to be right with God, then stop having sex or get married. God alll love you no matter what assuming you are Christian but it boils down to what type of relarionship you want to have with God.
