Probably. Your dentist will give you guidance if they’re a good one. We took my daughter and they opted not to cut any of hers saying she would likely outgrow them, and I’m guessing she was correct because within a couple months there were definitely no more latching issues to be found.

Both of my sons have had ones that look identical to this. Multiple pediatric dentists turned down doing the procedure because of the severity of the tie. Our pediatrician sent us to an ENT at Valley Children’s Hospital. It was a quick procedure and quick recovery. So glad we did it, because it improved sleep, eating, teeth, and so much more. I would highly recommend getting it done sooner rather than later. I wish I had done it before my boys got their teeth but still glad we got it done.
