Clomid?

I am on my first cycle of Clomid and am on cd 11. I had an ultrasound done yesterday but it showed small follicles and my doctor wants to up the dose the next cycle. My question is how long did it take for you to ovulate on Clomid? I didn’t have any major side effects until today. Hot flashes on and off all day. Am I out this cycle or just keep waiting? I am going to test at the end of the month just to verify. Per my Ob, I am not doing opk (just to keep stress to a minimum) just cd 10 ultrasound and cd 21 progesterone. Any one have anything similar happen?
