When should I go to the doctor?

I am 4 weeks pregnant and was wondering when I should go for my first appointment? I see a lot of posts on here about your HCG levels and I didn't go get tested. Should I have?

Most docs won't see you until at least six weeks, unless you have had issues conceiving or multiple miscarriages. When I called my doc, they scheduled me for January 27th to confirm my pregnancy and possibly do an ultrasound. At that point, I'll be 7 weeks.

I just found out yesterday and I am calling my ob on Monday to see when they recommend coming in.  Sometimes it is not necessary to do an hcg unless there is concern.
