What are your thoughts of the woman proposing in the relationship instead of the man?

Answer

I would never propose to my man, but I would never judge a women if she chose to do that.

I think the man should be the one to stick his neck out and advance the relationship. Mainly because I think generally speaking, women tend to be more naturally inclined towards commitment and family. But I acknowledge that there are no 100%truths in things like this, so I wouldnt judge another couple for doing it this way. I just never would.

I’m neutral. I don’t think it matters at all. 
Every relationship is different.  
The idea of only the man should do that is very exclusive to straight couples so maybe we should stay away from such a closed minded “tradition”. 
I also think it’s weird when people just expect a proposal to happen at x time in the relationship but don’t ever discuss that with their partner. 
Me and my partner discussed our 1 year, 3 year, and 5 year plan all the time. Updated and adjusted as needed. I had a general idea of when I’d be proposed to but it was still a surprise and beautiful. We discussed who would propose even. He wasn’t opposed to me doing it but ultimately ended up decided he wanted to do so. His gears were turning so he was excited for it. He also didn’t propose with a ring. I asked for it to be the shoes I wanted to wear on our wedding day! We both don’t actively wear rings anyways. 
So ya we do a lot of no tradition things that many would look down on. For example: I’ve heard people say that if we don’t wear rings then he will just be able to cheat 🙄🤣

I personally would never propose to a man, a man knows that’s his job in away trying not to be sexiest here… but throughout time men have been the one to propose and I stick with that, women always lean towards commitment and family and it’s the man’s job to secure that women and relationships with a proposal of marriage.
I’m not against women proposing at all I mean it’s 2023 for god sake but yeah I just think it’s nicer wen a man does it personally.
Wen I see videos of women proposing I just cringe like they are desperate and pushing something in the relationship that’s clearly should be down to the man to do.
