When did you know you were done?

Question

I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact I'll probably never be pregnant again. I'm a single parent of three and pushing 30. The chances of meeting someone who will be willing to take on multiple kids that arent theirs plus have any more is quite slim. How did you know when.you were done, or how did you accept that you werent going to have any more children?

I was waffling between two and three when I had my son (my second). I had to have an emergency c-section with him. It was the scariest experience of my life, I thought my son was a goner. 
I have a boy and a girl. They’re healthy, they’re beautiful. I can’t leave them motherless for another hypothetical baby. 
Plus we have more than enough time and resources for two. Three would stretch it. 
 
I’m still sad about it. We did IVF with our first and that longing for babies is still there, but I’m lucky to have the two that I do.

Two was as many as I could handle and some days I even question that. I couldn't imagine having more. Ever.

It’s not impossible to find someone that wants a big blended family. I worked with a girl who married a military guy. She had three of her own and he had two. Then they had one together. So not impossible.
That being said, I knew after the difficulties with this third pregnancy. Every man I’ve been with have made my life hell on earth when I’m pregnant. I love the infant stage and I wouldn’t trade my kids for anything but I am out of space and cash for a fourth. And I just can’t go thru the trauma of another pregnancy. I haven’t ruled out fostering a kid when mine get older tho. There’s a lot of kids in need in the area

I have two. I don't have budget or mental health to deal with anymore. Being pregnant has been 9 months nightmare both times and having a baby is exhausting even with a helping partner. 
That's how I know I'm done. 
I'm not gonna lie. It hurts. It's very clear that im biologically wired to have kids because i would easily be tempted again. But I'm gonna focus on my two beautiful children and watch them grow up and do all the things that is difficult with a baby and I'm excited for it! 
Secretly hoping my SIL gets another so i can soak up more baby time 😅

I just turned 30 and have 2 kids - they’re 4.5 and 2. I knew when I got pregnant with my second that I didn’t want any more kids. Physically, financially, mentally - I knew it would be irresponsible of me to have any more children. So 6 months after my daughter was born I had a bilateral salpingectomy. (Also my fiancé is 43 - his oldest is 19, while our youngest like I said, is 2 - well will be on the 11th - so the probability of him wanting more kids is also quite slim at his age) 
With that being said - if I changed my mind down the road, I could technically get pregnant again - just not the traditional way. I’d have to do IVF. And of course that isn’t always a guarantee and it’s expensive. But still, comforting to know that option is there. 
It was easy for me to accept it at the time - and I don’t regret my decision but from time to time I get baby fever  but I realize it’s more so because my babies are growing up and I miss their newborn stage. It’s not necessarily that I want another baby. I just wish I had a time machine
