Does it feel weird calling your unborn baby by name?

Didn’t feel weird with my son but does with this baby. It’s a girl. I thought I was having second thoughts about the name but I still love the name, just feeling weird about calling her it right now. Is that normal? It feels better calling her “the baby” or “baby girl” or “little sister”

I've never called my baby by name until after birth. First of all because me and my husband hadn't agreed on a name yet, but it also felt weird. Both times.

When I was pregnant with my son, he was always called Bubba. My oldest barely turned 2 before he was born so it was easier to call him Bubba instead of his name. Took a while to get used to his actual name lol

I think it’s one of those things where you said a word too many times and it starts to sound weird. When she’s here we’ll be able to use it in proper context more often. Right now we are using it without her actually being here, so it’s just become a weird word

When it felt weird calling baby by name with my first it was because it just wasn’t her name. Maybe you haven’t quite found the right one yet?

We never did until they were born with either baby. I felt weird. With my first the name we thought we’d settled on was a complete no go after he was born so that was kind of funny. My daughter on the other hand the name was perfect, but I still never called her that until she was born. She was baby sis or baby girl.

Im sure it’s normal but I always call mine by their name before they’re born
