First ultrasound

Does anyone else think it’s insane for a doctor to not see you until you’re 10-12 weeks for your first appointment/ultrasound?! Why on earth should we have to wait that long to know if everything is going ok??? I thought most seen you at 6-8 just to verify HCG levels and viability….. am I wrong here? I’m currently 6 weeks 3 days and my doctor won’t see me until in 10 weeks 4 days…. Literally a whole other month and I just have to sit here and wonder for another month if baby is still growing or not??
