Told me I was miscarrying

On 7/18 I went to the hospital for vaginal bleeding, extreme cramping & really bad nausea. They did an ultrasound and the doctor told me there was no sign of a fetal pole or a yolk sac.

She told me to follow up with one of their obgyns in 48 hours to see if there was any development.

I went to their obgyn and they did an ultrasound and then proceeded to tell me that my gestational sac has shrunk and my levels were not rising correctly. He told me that it was pretty up in the air and he couldn’t say for sure I was miscarrying but that was what he was leaning more too.

He offered me the pill they give you to start contractions to expel the fetus from your body but I told him I was not comfortable with it.

Today I went for a second opinion and while I’m having the ultrasound the doctor asked me

“They said they couldn’t see anything?” And I said nope. She responds with

“Well here’s your baby, and here’s its heart beat.”

The relief I had was so indescribable. I felt like the world was lifted from my shoulders and immediately started crying.

So far I’m only measuring 6w0d but she wants me to come back on the 31st for a dating scan seeing as I am still very early.
