Eye contact

How much eye Contact do you make during sex? Or what does it say about the other person?

 I just started dating someone new and he really wants me to look at him during sex. Like really wants eye contact. It’s not every second but I guess it’s just way more than I ever experienced. And I guess nobody has ever made it a point to ask for eye Contact during sex that I’ve had sex with before.
