Why do people do this?

Tired of people asking me/ suggesting that I’m carrying twins. I literally have no control over the size of my bump. What the hell
I’m the one carrying the baby so can everybody just sthu.
They’re now making me so self-conscious that I sometimes bring my due date closer just to avoid the silliness 🙄
Anyone else experience this? How do I handle this? Even my mother in law is a culprit

I have the opposite problem where people ask me if I’m sure I’m pregnant because I’m always so small. It’s super annoying. I don’t know why people feel the need to comment about our size, but I have just learned to ignore it or I’ll say something like “yeah we’re very worried about the baby’s growth” to make them feel bad and uncomfortable about their comment.

Honestly I would just look them dead in their face and ask “are you calling me fat?” Just be bold with it. They will feel so uncomfortable that they will never say it again

Not the same but I hated when people tried to tell me I was having a boy instead of a girl because of how I was carrying. When I’ve had several ultrasounds and blood work to confirm. It’s just annoying and unnecessary. People have no common sense when it comes to pregnancy

Yup. Hated that. And the “you must be due any day!” When I was only 28 weeks. Shut up! I know I’m huge!

I got this a lot too. My ob loved to measure my belly each visit and laugh a little because I measured on time for twins with my one baby.
